Bringing Our Community Together to Eat Great, Move Great - and Feel Great!

At Poulet Bonne Femme, we've always believed that good food has the power to do more than nourish. It brings people together, sparks conversation, creates connection and plays an important role in how we feel every day.

That was at the heart of our recent Eat Great, Feel Great event for The Neighbourhood Club, where we welcomed our guests for an morning focused on simple, practical ways to support health and wellbeing through food and movement.

The event began with a beautiful Pilates class led by local instructor Ruth Sharkey of Reset with Ruth, upstairs from our Dun Laoghaire shop, at Sable Studios. Ruth guided guests through a session centred on strength, mobility and mindful movement, reminding us that exercise doesn't have to be extreme to be effective. Her approach is warm, accessible and rooted in helping people build sustainable habits that support long-term health.

Following the class, guests gathered back downstairs at PBF to taste our new salads and hear from local nutrition and health coach Rachel Matthews, who collaborated with us to create our new Eat Great, Feel Great salad collection.

Rachel shared her expertise on the foundations of good nutrition, speaking about the importance of protein, fibre, variety and colourful whole foods in supporting everything from energy levels to gut health. Her talk reflected many of the values we hold as a brand: that eating well should feel enjoyable, achievable and rooted in real food.

The morning also gave guests the opportunity to sample the four salads Rachel designed exclusively for Poulet Bonne Femme, each created with both flavour and nutrition in mind. Packed with diverse plant ingredients, fresh herbs, legumes, grains and vibrant vegetables, the collection was designed to complement our free-range rotisserie chicken while making it easier for people to build balanced, nourishing meals into everyday life.

But for us, the event represented something bigger than a salad launch…

It was a celebration of local collaboration and community. Both Rachel and Ruth live and work within our neighbourhood, and partnering with talented local experts is an important part of what The Neighbourhood Club is all about. By bringing together food, movement and conversation, we hope to create experiences that support wellbeing in a way that feels welcoming, inspiring and genuinely useful.

The response from guests was wonderful, and we left feeling energised by the conversations, connections and enthusiasm.

As we continue to grow The Neighbourhood Club, we look forward to creating more opportunities to gather, learn and celebrate the simple things that help us all feel our best.

Because when we eat great, move great and connect with our community, we really do feel great!
