Eat Great, Feel Great: A Spring Morning with The Neighbourhood Club

At Poulet Bonne Femme, we have always believed that food is only one part of the story. What we eat matters, of course, but so too does how we move, how we feel in our bodies, and how we show up in our everyday lives.

This spring, The Neighbourhood Club brings those threads together in a way that feels both thoughtful and entirely grounded in reality. Our next gathering, Eat Great, Feel Great, on the morning of May 5th, is designed as a gentle, seasonal reset. Not in the sense of rules or restriction, but as an invitation to reconnect with the simple habits that help us feel well.

The morning will begin just upstairs from us, in the beautiful Sable Studios, a space that feels quietly removed from the pace of the day below. Here, Ruth Sharkey, from Reset with Ruth will lead a small, intimate Pilates class, focused on strength, mobility and energy. It is not about intensity or performance, but about building a deeper awareness of the body, and leaving feeling more connected, more grounded, and a little more energised than when you arrived.

From there, we return downstairs to PBF, where the atmosphere will shift from movement to nourishment. Coffee will be poured, the tables ready, and our guests are invited to gather for a seasonal salad tasting alongside a relaxed conversation with local nutritionist Rachel Matthews.

Rachel’s approach to nutrition is rooted in practicality and balance, and this is very much the spirit of the morning. The conversation will move through what it really means to build a balanced plate, how protein and fibre support sustained energy, and how to think about gut health in a way that feels supportive rather than overwhelming. It is not a lecture, but an open, considered discussion, shaped as much by the questions in the room as by any one perspective.

Integral to the event is the introduction of our new Eat Great, Feel Great salad collection, developed in collaboration with Rachel. This is not a departure from what we do, but a natural evolution of it. A small, carefully considered range that places seasonal produce, nutritional balance and flavour at the centre. Some are designed to pair beautifully with our free-range rotisserie chicken, while others stand confidently on their own as complete, satisfying meals.

The intention is simple. Food that supports real life.

What makes this gathering particularly special is its size. With just 15 places available for the Pilates class, it remains intimate, personal and quietly connected. The fact that it all happens within the same building, upstairs and downstairs, and involving local partners, reinforces what The Neighbourhood Club is becoming. A local ecosystem of food, movement and conversation, rooted in community.

Access to this event is offered first to our Neighbourhood Club members. Because at its heart, the Club is not about offers or incentives, but about being part of something that feels considered, evolving and close to home.

If you would like to join us, we would love to welcome you to eat great and feel great.
